Chris Rock's younger brother, Tony, now has his own U.S. TV series to follow in the comedian's footsteps, a network official says.
MyNetworkTV President Greg Meidel said his network has given the green light to The Tony Rock Project, a series that will showcase the younger Rock's comedic skills, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.
Tony's charming personality, quick-witted comedy and cutting-edge social commentary makes the program a perfect addition to our Wednesday night comedy block, Meidel said.
The series will feature Rock confronting prevalent social stereotypes and prejudices through interviews and hidden-camera segments, the Reporter said.
The entertainment publication said the series, which is being produced by Langley Prods. and C to the B Prods., will premiere this fall on Wednesdays.
