‘Men,’ ‘Miami’ Make Monday Magic

Monday's ratings weren't huge -- it's summer, after all -- but the race was close. CBS came out on top.

For the night, CBS averaged a 4.7 rating/8 share. ABC, 4.5/8, finished second in households, but FOX, 4.4/8, brought in more total viewers. NBC took fourth with a 3.6/6, and The CW was well off the pace at 0.8/1.

ABC and CBS tied for the lead among adults 18-49, each scoring a 2.2 rating. FOX was right behind at 2.1. NBC drew a 1.8, and The CW fell well below the 1.0 mark.

"The Bachelorette" put ABC on top at 8 p.m. with a 5.0/9. A "Bones" rerun on FOX drew a 4.1/7. "The Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" averaged 3.6/6 for CBS, topping "American Gladiators" on NBC. A "Gossip Girl" repeat earned a 0.9/2 for The CW.

"The Bachelorette" improved to 5.6/9 at 9 p.m. CBS moved up to second with "Two and a Half Men," the night's most-watched show at 5.8/10, and "Rules of Engagement," 4.4/7. "House" posted a 4.8/8 for FOX. "Nashville Star" delivered a 3.6/6 for NBC. A "One Tree Hill" rerun finished The CW's night.

At 10 p.m., "CSI: Miami," 5.5/10, gave CBS the lead. "Nashville Star" drew a 4.2/7 for NBC, while ABC tumbled to third with "The Mole," 2.9/5.
