Jack’s Cream Dream
ROCKER Jack Bruce has vowed to get his classic 60s band Cream back together one last time.
The Scot was bass player and singer with the world’s first supergroup, which also included guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker.
But infighting saw Cream split after just a few years.
They didn’t play together again until three years ago, with a string of shows at the Royal Albert Hall and Madison Square Garden.
Yesterday, Bishopbriggs-born Bruce said: “I think it will happen again. I can’t say any more. But we are meeting up in October.”
Bruce said that during the 2005 reunion, he was still recovering from a liver transplant, which he needed after he was diagnosed with cancer. He added: “Now I’m firing on most of my cylinders, I’d like to do it again, selfishly, just to enjoy it thistime.”
