Thomson’s PRN Announces Agreement With Conde Nast

Thomson’s Premier Retail Networks and Conde Nast Publications have announced a programming agreement to produce custom content for display on Premier Retail Networks’s Checkout TV network in supermarkets across the US.

In collaboration with Conde Nast’s Bon Appetit, Premier Retail Networks (PRN) said that it is producing short-form content featuring cooking tips from Bon Appetit.com. These weekly video segments will run on PRN’s multi-paned eye-level screen, together with special previews of the weekly challenge on Food Network’s ‘The Next Food Network Star’.

This agreement is one of many synergies being discussed by PRN and Conde Nast Publications. Last summer’s collaboration between Bon Appetit and PRN resulted in a 20% sales lift for Bon Appetit’s featured Summer BBQ issue at checkout, said PRN.

Richard Fisher, president of PRN, said: “We are very pleased to partner with Conde Nast to create relevant content for our Checkout TV network. This is a great example of our goal to always provide more enjoyable, targeted programming that benefits retailers and shoppers alike.”
