Anti-Gang CD Aims at Charts

July 8, 2008

STUDENTS from three schools have hit out at gang culture by producing a CD of anti-gang music.

Real Life, penned by pupils from Holly Lodge, George Salter and St Michael’s High Schools, will be launched at the Sandwell Children and Young People’s Festival on Thursday and Friday.

The students teamed up with the Sandwell youth music service to record the CD, which contains two hard-hitting songs warning people about the dangers of gangs.

There are plans to make it available as a download, so it can enter the music charts, and send it to government ministers.
