A LIVERPOOL community theatre group has launched a drive to raise thousands of pounds to take its latest show to Edinburgh.
Positive Impact hopes to showcase Brand New World at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival next month.
The show is an urban version of Aladdin written by ex-Brookside writer and Positive Impact manager Barbara Phillips with an original score.
But the company needs to raise up to pounds 20,000 to send the cast and crew to the festival where they are booked to perform the world premiere of the production at the city's George I Theatre before it returns to Liverpool's Royal Court Theatre in the autumn.
Companies or individuals interested in supporting the group should contact Barbara Phillips on 0151-709 2220.
