Mobile Zoo Brings Exotic Pets to City

July 15, 2008

ALL creatures great and small will be descending on Coventry market this summer.

Tarantulas, cuddly bunnies and a three-foot lizard will be some of the animals visiting as part of Petwise Mobile Zoo.

Zoo staff will make three trips to Coventry to educate the public on caring for animals.

The mobile zoo will be arriving with a nine-foot snake, gophers, stick insects, parrots, scorpions, ferrets and meerkats.

The first event will be a reptile day on Tuesday, July 22, with animals including bearded dragon lizards, bluetongued skinks and snakes.

Each visit will run from 10am to 3pm, and will be free.

Children and adults will be able to hold unusual pets.

The next visits are with creepy crawlies on Wednesday, August 27 and Saturday, October 11, for an exotic and domestic pets session
