Circa Pictures and Production Co., Intl., Inc. (CPPD-PK) Secures Development Funding on New Film and TV Projects

LOS ANGELES, July 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Circa Pictures and Production Co., Intl., Inc. (Pink Sheets: CPPD) announced today their optioning for production the feature film script THE HUNTERS OF KARINHALL by the late Terry Southern. Terry Southern was the award winning writer who did DR. STRANGELOVE, THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN, BARBARELLA, EASY RIDER and a number of other iconic movies. The project was brought to Circa Pictures by its film production consultant, Christian DeFrank.
According to Circa Picture's CEO, Constantine Papadopoulos: "We are also pleased to announce Christian De Frank will now be playing a more active role in our Film Development and Production Operations. His efforts not only brought us The Hunters of Karinhall and the resources to develop the project for production but the rights to two additional TV miniseries. One, THIS THING OF OURS, is a Mafia dramedy set in the '70s and based on true events; the other, for which he has secured partial development funding, is a series based on the exploits of a glamorous woman running an international fashion empire. This development money will be coming from the Film Board of an English speaking European nation, thus he has successfully expanded our contact base in the international film and television production front."
