People – Brolin Saloon Brawl Caught on Tape
Shreveport, La., police said this week they have video of a bar fight in which members of a crew filming an Oliver Stone movie – including actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright – were arrested.
Police Chief Henry Whitehorn told The Times of Shreveport he is reviewing the case and will submit it to the city prosecutor’s office, which will decide whether to proceed with charges.
Police said they have video from patrol car cameras and audio from officers’ microphones but would not elaborate on their contents.
Brolin, Wright and five crew members of the Oliver Stone film “W.” were arrested Saturday on misdemeanor charges at the Stray Cat Club.
Brolin, who plays President Bush in the film, and Wright, who plays retired Gen. Colin Powell , are charged with interfering with police. Each posted a bond of $384, according to court records.
The actors had just completed shooting the film, which is loosely based on Bush’s life.
Former cable TV host sued over car
A Nebraska man has sued custom car and bike-maker Jesse James , claiming the former television host failed to deliver a custom automobile despite paying more $420,000.
Michael B. Jones , of Omaha, Neb., filed the suit on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court against James and his company, West Coast Choppers, Inc.
The lawsuit claims Jones ordered a “sleek and low-slung custom” 1949 Cadillac Sedanette from James and agreeing to pay between $250,000 and $350,000. Jones said he intended to enter the Cadillac in auto show contests.
Jones claims he was told the cost of the car would skyrocket to between $600,000 and $700,000. The car, he said, has never been delivered.
James hosted the cable television show “Monster Garage” from 2003 to 2007 and is married to actress Sandra Bullock .
Holmes to guest star on ‘Eli Stone’
Former “Dawson’s Creek” star Katie Holmes will revisit her TV roots with a guest role on “Eli Stone” this fall.
Holmes was courted by Greg Berlanti , who was a producer on “Dawson’s Creek” and is the co-creator and executive producer of ABC’s drama about a lawyer ( Jonny Lee Miller ) who gains prophetic powers.
The episode with Holmes, in which she displays her singing and dancing skills, is the season’s second and will air Oct. 21. Berlanti declined to detail the story line.
Holmes, who played Joey Potter on “Dawson’s Creek” from 1998 to 2003, has worked in films including “Batman Begins” and “Thank You for Smoking” and is married to Tom Cruise . She’s scheduled to make her Broadway debut Sept. 18 in a revival of Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons.”
