ION Television Adds New Station Affiliate in Dayton

ION Television today announced a station affiliation agreement with WRCX-TV in Dayton, the nation's 62nd largest TV market, which represents approximately 511,000 television households.

WRCX-TV is currently carried in the Dayton area by Time Warner Cable on Channel 22. Over-the-air viewers can receive the station on Channel 40.

WRCX-TV 40 was acquired by the Ross Communications Group in 2003. Following the acquisition, Ross made a major investment in the station to increase viewership and to expand the station's broadcast coverage area. The station is carried by Time Warner Cable. In 2005 WRCX-TV 40 also became the only station in the market to locally produce and broadcast College and High School sporting events.
