HBO No Longer Loves ‘Love Me’

HBO will not renew its original drama Tell Me You Love Me for a second season on the U.S. cable TV network, the series' creator says.

Love Me creator Cynthia Mort, who also served as an executive producer, said in a statement that the network has chosen to part ways with the sexually explicit series, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

Given the considerable amount of time that has passed and despite the best efforts of everyone involved, we were unable to find the direction of the show for the second season, Mort said. There are so many other stories to tell and many other ways to tell them. I look forward to doing that with HBO in the future.

Love Me focused on the lives of several couples who were all engaged in therapy, the Reporter said.

The publication said HBO recently decided to pick up a similar therapy-themed series, In Treatment, for a sophomore season.
