Port Sunlight Lives Up to Its Name As Crowds Flock to Fun-Packed Festival
THOUSANDS of visitors turned out in superb sunshine to enjoy a full programme of entertainment at the Port Sunlight Village Festival yesterday.
Among the attractions at the free event, set against the backdrop of the historic garden village, was an appearance by local boy band Eton Road, of X Factor fame, along with contributions by Liverpool School of Samba.There was also a vintage vehicles and car rally, fairground, street theatre, food court and chef demonstrations.
A variety of stalls selling goods and gifts were set up on the approach to Lady Lever Art Gallery and a dog show drew the crowds.
The festival was organised by the Port Sunlight Village Trust and Friends of Port Sunlight Village.
