"Camp Rock's" Alyson Stoner &"High School Musical's" Lucas Grabeel Star in "Alice Upside Down" on DVD Today From Anchor Bay Entertainment

Anchor Bay Entertainment is proud to release the funny, sweet and poignant tween film, Alice Upside Down on DVD July 29, 2008, headlined by rising star Alyson Stoner ("Camp Rock," Cheaper By The Dozen) as Alice McKinley and tween/teen favorite Lucas Grabeel ("High School Musical,""High School Musical 2") as her annoying teenage brother, Lester. Available for the suggested retail price of $19.97, Alice Upside Down co-stars Luke Perry ("Jeremiah,""Beverly Hills, 90210") as Alice's cool dad trying to do the best he can, and the hilarious Penny Marshall ("Laverne and Shirley") as her stern sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Plotkin. Ashley Drane ("That's So Raven") and Parker McKenna Posey ("My Wife & Kids") also star. The Alice Upside Down DVD is filled with great extras including interviews with Alyson Stoner and Lucas Grabeel and a feature highlighting the costumes of Alice Upside Down. Based on the popular best-selling Alice McKinley books by Newbery medalist, Phyllis Reynolds Naylor, Alice Upside Down tells the story of 11-year-old Alice McKinley, who has moved to a new town with her widowed dad Ben and teenage brother Lester, leaving her the only girl in an all male household. Alice imagines herself cool, confident and popular, but in reality her life is full of anxiety, awkward moments and overwhelming challenges. Alice misses her mom more than ever during these confusing pre-teen years, and she feels like she can't do anything right! Alyson Stoner began her career at the age of 3 in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio. By the age of 8, she had been cast in the Disney Channel's popular "Mike's Super Short Show" as the sarcastic sister, Sally. The series ran for 5 years. She had a recurring role as Max on "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" as well as guest-starring roles on Disney's "That's So Raven" and Nickelodeon's award-winning series "Drake & Josh." She recently debuted on Disney's newly launched "Phineas & Ferb." And if that's not enough, her theatrical career has her co-starring with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt in the role of Sarah Baker in the hilarious Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 films and as Camille in Step Up. Her most recent role has her co-starring with the chart-topping band, the Jonas Brothers, in "Camp Rock" which airs on Disney Channel in June 2008.
