WHEN movie director Ron Howard was banned from filming in St Peter’s Square he refused to give in – so built his own.
The amazing scale replica was put up in Hollywood for the follow- up to the Da Vinci Code. Catholic officials are still furious over the original book’s claim that Jesus had children and refused to co- operate with Howard as he filmed Angels and Demons.
Starring Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor, the movie is based on a novel by Da Vinci author Dan Brown about a plot to blow up the Vatican. It is due for release next May.
