By The Sun, Yuma, Ariz.

Jul. 31--Yuma Art Center's Youth Summer Theater Camp production of "Seussical Jr." opens at 7 tonight (Friday) at the Historic Yuma Theatre, 254 S. Main St.

More than 30 youths ages 8 to 14 have been learning about theater -- from the basics to stage performances -- for five weeks. The show also will be presented at a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday. For both shows, admission at the door is $5 per adult, $3 per child ages 11 and younger.

Tim O'Brien, a major in music education and theater at the University of Arizona, is director of the musical. He graduated from Cibola High School and attended Arizona Western College two years before going to the UA.
