Pymatuning Lake Festival Continues Today in Andover

Aug. 3--ANDOVER -- Looking for something to do today? Why not check out the 26th annual Pymatuning Lake Festival.

The event is sponsored by the Andover Area Chamber of Commerce and features a slew of activities for the whole family to enjoy. There is a craft show with more than 45 crafters as well as live entertainment and a variety of activities for the kids. There is plenty of food for every pallet and lots of prizes and treats.

The event also features pontoon rides on Pymatuning Lake, swimming and picnicking, face painting, a magic show, dunking booth, duck pond and tethered hot air balloon rides.

Today, beginning at 9 a.m., Among the Thirsty will perform. At 10 a.m. in the kids' tent, get ready for some veggies with a vengeance, when the kids race zucchini. At 11 a.m., Captain Willie will provide children's entertainment on the main stage, followed by a watermelon eating contest in the kids' tent.

Jungle Terry will take over the main stage at 1 p.m. with his menagerie of animals and the Boy Scouts will hold a skill demonstration at the beach house at 2 p.m. Emerald the Clown will perform on the main stage at 2:30 p.m. followed by sack races at the kids' tent at 3:30 p.m. The event will conclude after the annual talent show at 4 p.m. on the main stage.

The festival is being held at the Main Beach area of Pymatuning State Park.
