Guide Festival 08 Review: The Spitfire Grill: Talented Cast is Flying High
By ESTHER JACOBS
The Spitfire Grill George Square Theatre ****
DIRECTOR Sam Rapier deserves huge credit for this musical and its well-chosen cast. Only born stage actors could pull off this character-driven performance with the ease this young group manages.
The story of The Spitfire Grill will have you laughing in some scenes and trying to hold back the tears in others.
There is great chemistry between the performers and they would not be out of their depths on Broadway. This was a polished first night and if you like musicals, you will love this.
