ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG), the premier provider of e-commerce software and platform neutral optimization services, today announced that Zinio, the leading platform and service for digital magazines and books, has selected ATG as its newest e-commerce solutions provider. ATG will be powering the re-launch and expansion of Zinio's global suite of digital and interactive published content. Zinio currently sells more than 500,000 digital products and delivers over 20 million issues annually for its growing base of 3.5 million readers. Zinio's library of publications grows nearly daily, with approximately 1,000 domestic and over 500 international titles. Zinio allows consumers to read publications either directly from the Web site or to download to a patented offline reader. Zinio recently announced plans to increase its worldwide network through an e-commerce site that will be able to accommodate increased traffic as well as play host to an increasing number of individual products. After extensive research, Zinio will be implementing the following solutions from ATG:-- ATG Commerce Suite: an integrated set of comprehensive, highly scalable e-commerce applications that automate the complete lifecycle of online sales, marketing and service. Its flexible, component-based e-commerce software architecture enables merchants to personalize the online buying experience for their customers, making it easy for them to find desired products, pre-order products, redeem coupons and execute many other useful functions.
-- ATG Commerce Service Center: a contact center application integrating e-commerce functionality with back-end order administration, sales support and customer care features. ATG CSC offers personalization tools so agents can identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. Agents will have access to a comprehensive view of the previous interactions each customer has had with Zinio, as well as what that customer is looking at while placing the call to the representative. Zinio plans to localize ATG CSC for all of its worldwide markets, promising customers consistent customer service all around the globe.
-- eStara Click to Call: part of ATG's e-Commerce Optimization Services, an on demand (SaaS) service that connects online shoppers to a live agent with the click of one button. Users on Zinio.com will be able to seamlessly move from Web browsing to live dialogue with a call center agent via phone for assistance in completing transactions.
"Consumers are increasingly turning exclusively to the Web for all of their needs: from entertainment to news to research.
