They’Ve Got the X Factor

LEONA Lewis won the 2006 contest and was so good Simon Cowell was heard to say: "I think she's one of the best singers we've seen in this country for a long, long time." Her debut album Spirit went straight to number one in the UK charts and her voiceand looks are now earning her success in the States.

SCOTTISH teenager Leon Jackson won last year's contest and went on to have the Christmas number one with When You Believe. The 19- year-old is currently working on his debut album.

RAY QUINN was runner-up to Leona Lewis in 2006, but has gone on to carve out a showbusiness career. The 19-year-old recently landed a role in West End musical Grease.

STEVE BROOKSTEIN was the first winner of The X Factor and is now carving out a career in musical theatre. He has been appearing in the UK tour of the award-winning Madness musical Our House with Only Fools and Horses actress Gwyneth Strong.

SHAYNE WARD won the second series of The X Factor.

He is in Los Angeles recording a new album. His debut single That's My Goal smashed the UK record for first-day sales.

His debut album went platinum in two weeks and he got his own waxwork at Madame Tussauds.
