Regulars at the world jazz evenings at Exeter's Old Firehouse pub are in for a treat on Saturday when Afrobeat band Helele appear.
Helele's front man Alphonse Daudet Touna arrived in Britain from Cameroon in 2001 and has since worked solidly on developing his music. He has played in France and Italy and now lives in Bristol. His band comprises some of the finest session and jazz musicians.
The group plays at the Old Firehouse, in New North Road, at 10pm. Entry is free before 8pm and pounds2 after.
