Music Wasn’t Such a Racket
August 19, 2008
We are writing with regard to the letters of protest about the Bloom Festival.
We also live in Charlton Kings and probably as near as anyone to the festival. We could hardly hear the music and found the lights on the hill quite atmospheric, so did our neighbours.
As one protester has confirmed, the festival was 33 hours. These people who complain obviously have not endured Saturday night discos for years from the local pub’s function room, which we have had to.
The protesters are fortunate that they do not have other problems in their lives to worry about.
