Children Are Kept Busy

August 19, 2008

Children in Tewkesbury have been taking part in summer activities at Alderman Knight School.

Children from 11 schools tried their hand at a range of events, from cooking and food art to swimming and dancing last week.

Youngsters aged between six and 14 picked up new moves from two tutors from Gloucestershire Dance, including the basketball dance scene in the High School Musical movie, before performing for their friends and family.

Other highlights of the week included a visit to Malvern Splash, a trip to a farm and the chance to make chocolate to create food art.

Senior teaching assistant Janet Davies said: “The week gets them to come together, to meet their friends and try out new experiences and activities.”
