McCain’s Wife Accused of ‘Air-Brushing’ Family

Cindy McCain (pictured), wife of the Republican presidential candidate John McCain, has always described herself as an only child – but now a half-sister has emerged to challenge that family history.
“I grew up with my dad, I’m an only child,” Mrs McCain told a TV interviewer recently. “My father was a cowboy, and he really loved me very much, but I think he wanted a son occasionally.”
Now, however, half-sister Kathleen Hensley Portalski claims she and her offspring have been carefully airbrushed out of the would- be First Lady’s family picture. “I’m upset,” she said. “It makes me feel like a non-person.”
