Singers’ Date to Help School

August 24, 2008

A city choral group will give a concert for charity.

St David’s Singers will be performing at United Reformed Church, in Southernhay, on Saturday, September 13, at 7.30pm.

The programme will include pieces by Victoria Rutter, Vaughan Williams, Mozart and Brahms.

The concert is in aid of the Towersey Foundation, a national charity based in Newton Abbot, which provides music therapy for hospice patients and children at special schools.

The Singers hope to raise funds to support the extension of a music therapy room at Ellen Tinkham School, in Exeter. Tickets cost pounds5 in advance and are also available on the door.
