B&B Owners See Business Brought to Silver Screen
The owners of a bed and breakfast will see their business portrayed as part of a feature film.
The Seahaven in Paignton, South Devon, is used as one of the location sets for Snappers: The Movie, which is out next month at cinemas worldwide.
Owners Sheryl and Myles Cadden welcomed a film crew for two days in May. Their B&B was converted into a film location for the romantic comedy, starring former Coronation Street actress Suranne Jones.
Mr Cadden said: “It was really cool. They were all very, very polite, chatting with us and signing autographs. We cooked them breakfast in the mornings and they all loved their English fry-up.”
The plot centres around an actress, Tina (Chloe Howman), who is in the English Riviera on location, starring in a feature film. On arrival, she is hounded by paparazzi so decides to leave the hotel and stay with the rest of the cast and crew at a caravan park.
The plot follows her antics as she goes to extreme lengths to avoid their cameras.
Mr Cadden said: “They were all really down to earth. Suranne Jones and Kevin Arnold even sat on the floor playing with our son and his train set.”
The premiere is to be held at The Apollo Cinema in Paignton in Wednesday, September 24.
Mr Cadden said: “We’ve been invited and I think I’m going to run a red carpet from our front door round the corner to the Apollo.”
