AMATEUR dramatists from north Durham have put together a show in 12 days about the weekend antics of teenagers in the Sixties.

The newly-formed Graduate section Chester-le-Street Theatre Group study out of the area, but have used their summer holidays for rehearsals.

A Slice of Saturday night will be performed at Park View Theatre in Chester-leStreet, starting tonight.

Theatre group secretary June Donald said: ?Girls in mini-skirts and boys in Chelsea boots sing songs about teen trauma, but can you remember where you first heard the melodies? ? The show runs until Saturday, at 7.15pm. There is a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm because the evening show has sold out. Tickets cost [pounds]6, call 0191- 388-3778, but will also be available at the door.
