Elvis: Viva Las Vegas Tops Billboard DVD Music Chart in the First Week of Launch

In the first week of its release, Elvis: Viva Las Vegas, which tells the story of how Elvis Presley, the King of Rock-and-Roll, reinvented Las Vegas – and how it reinvented him – has become the #1 selling DVD and hi-definition Blu-ray video on Billboard’s Top Selling Music Video chart in the August 30th issue. The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll also takes the #5 and #6 spots on the chart with Elv1s: #1 Hit Performances & More Vol. 2 and Elv1s: #1 Hit Performances.

The special release of Elvis: Viva Las Vegas, with never-before-seen bonus material, is available exclusively through Wal-Mart stores and Sam’s Club on both DVD and hi-definition Blu-ray. Purchases are also available online through Walmart.com and Samsclub.com.

Hosted by Emmy award winning broadcast journalist Elizabeth Vargas, the DVD special, produced in cooperation with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., incorporates rarely seen footage of Elvis performing in Las Vegas, revealing interviews with those closest to him, and special performances from some of today’s top recording stars singing Elvis’ Vegas classics.
