More Fun With the Fighting Lohans

Lindsay Lohan is defending her father’s criticism of her BFF Samantha Ronson the 21st century way: via blog.

Earlier this week, Michael Lohan said Ronson was “using” his daughter. On her MySpace blog, LiLo called Pops a “public embarrassment” and a “bully.”

Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik, confirmed the post by Lohan was legitimate, despite heavy evidence that it was actually written by dash-happy 19th century American poet Emily Dickinson:

“Having said that (she wants a decent relationship with her father) — the people were right, and he is yet to change — but this time, without his daughter by his side — he has become a public embarrassment and a bully — to my family, my co-workers, my friends and a girl that means the world to me (it’s obvious who that is).”

The “Mean Girls” star went on to say that she believes her father is addicted to fame, and if he really cared about her, he would respect her wishes. She also said than Ronson and Lohan’s mother, Dina, would never “sell me out.”

In a separate blog post Thursday, Ronson threw Pop Lohan further under the bus by calling him a man “so desperate for attention that he goes to the media whenever possible.”

Confirming what Ronson wrote, Michael Lohan went to the media — answering back not in blog form, but in a statement to OK! magazine.

“All I want is for Lindsay to be healthy and in a good relationship,” he wrote. “I want her to use the gifts she has in the best ways and to help others! I said it from the very beginning: Show me who you walk with and I will tell you who you are! People may deceive us, but our eyes and facts don’t! OPEN YOUR EYES!!!”

And by the way, he called Dina a “money-loving, fame-seeking, self-serving deceiver.” Which means we’ll be hearing from her today. Yippee-skip.

LATEST RAP RELEASES: Rapper DMX has pleaded out a Miami drug case and awaits extradition to face more charges in Arizona.

The 37-year-old rapper and actor pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempted marijuana and cocaine possession and was sentenced to time served. Lawyer Bradford Cohen says DMX is still in custody, waiting for Arizona authorities to pick him up on drug and animal cruelty charges there.

Cohen says DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, decided to plead guilty when he was denied bail earlier this week due to the outstanding Arizona warrant. Cohen says if he hadn’t pleaded guilty, Simmons would have had to sit in jail in Miami until an October trial date.

Meanwhile, Marion “Suge” Knight has been released from a Las Vegas jail.

The founder of bankrupt Death Row Records posted $19,000 bail Wednesday and promised to appear Sept. 26 in Las Vegas Justice Court on felony assault and drug charges.

Police arrested the hip-hop mogul Wednesday morning after officers say they saw him beat his girlfriend while brandishing a knife in a parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip.

The woman was not stabbed, but she was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police say Knight had the drugs Ecstasy and hydrocodone when he was arrested.

SHIRLEY ‘GOLDFINGER’ EATON WASN’T AVAILABLE: British sculptor Marc Quinn is ready to unveil his latest creation to the world — a nearly $2.8 million, 110-pound solid gold statue of supermodel Kate Moss.

OK, all together now: “That statue weighs more than she does.” Yeah, nobody saw that punchline coming.

Moss is something of a muse for Quinn. He painted a bronze statue of her in a somewhat provocative yoga pose and called it “Sphinx.” The new work, called “Siren,” is expected to be in the same pose. So he’s not entirely wasteful.

The British Museum is giving Sphinx its seal of approval by displaying it for three months starting Oct. 4 in the same gallery as the ancient Greek sculptures. That decision is bound to cause the ghost of Melina Mercouri to demand the statues’ immediate return to Greece, away from that gold tart.
