Tribute Chairs to Storyteller Are Unveiled
TRAVELLER Jimmy Williamson sits on a chair commissioned as a memorial to his father Duncan, a renowned musician, singer and master storyteller.
The set of three chairs, carved by the workshop of Tim Stead, was unveiled by Jimmy and his mother Linda, at the Scottish Storytelling Centre as part of the Gypsy Arts Festival, which runs until Sunday.
The event, which saw the chairs blessed with whisky by the centre’s director, Donald Smith, was attended by a gathering of story tellers.
After the unveiling ceremony there was a performance from Jimmy Williamson, himself a storyteller and musician.
