Students Let Talents, Music Soar — Recital Showcases Summer of Lessons
Bartlett Music Academy recently hosted its seventh annual Summer Recital in its newly renovated facility. Approximately 500 parents, grandparents and friends attended the event that was divided into five small recitals.
A total of 109 students shared their talents that ranged from piano, voice, violin, guitar, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone and even the tuba.
The ages of the students were just as eclectic as the instruments. The youngest student was a 4-year-old pianist, with the oldest being a 72-year-old grandmother on violin.
Kreston Smith is the school director and CEO of Bartlett Music Academy at 6757 Stage Road. He is also director of jazz studies at Arlington High School.
