Film festival begins in DPRK to mark national day

PYONGYANG, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) — A 10-day film festival marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) kicked off Thursday, the official KCNA news agency reported.

The opening ceremony was held at the Pyongyang International Cinema House.

Dozens of documentaries and feature films singing the praises of leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are going to be screened across the country.
