Swedish mobile maker Sony Ericsson plans to launch an unlimited music download service for its mobile customers later in September before its rival Nokia, which is expected to launch a similar service, Comes With Music, in October, reported the Financial Times.
Sony Ericsson already has agreements with EMI, Warner Music and Sony BMG for their labels. It is negotiating with record labels and mobile operators to launch the new subscription service by the end of September 2008.
Nokia's Comes With Music is claimed to allow customers to download as much music as they like for one year. According to the news source, Nokia plans to add a one-time subscription charge to the handset for Comes With Music service.
