TBS announced Wednesday it has ordered a third season of its original U.S. sit-com "The Bill Engvall Show."
Bill Engvall is to return as family counselor Bill Pearson, with Nancy Travis back as his wife, Susan, the cable television network said.
Also set for the third season are cast members Tim Meadows, Jennifer Lawrence, Graham Patrick Martin and Skyler Gisondo.
TBS, which produces the show, said it has ordered 10 new episodes of the series, which will return to the network in the summer of 2009.
"There's something about this cast and this show that gives you a good feeling inside, which is probably why it's won the hearts of so many viewers," Michael Wright, senior vice president in charge of the Content Creation Group for TBS, TNT and TCM, said in a statement. "Their dedication to continually growing the show is evident in the work, and we look forward to a new season of even funnier episodes."
"I can't tell you how thrilled all of us on 'The Bill Engvall Show' are that we'll be back for another season on TBS," Engvall added. "Working so closely with people you care so dearly about and with a network that gives you such unbridled support is truly what makes this show work."
