Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival to Be Held at E for All Expo
IDG World Expo’s Entertainment for All(R) Expo (E for All(R)) announced today that the fourth annual Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival will be held at this year’s E for All Expo, offering attendees the opportunity to view more than 70 animated and live action films, and documentaries from around the world. In addition, basic animation workshops will be held at the downtown L.A. event on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 2008. E for All Expo kicks off on Friday, October 3, 2008, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The films that will be screened at E for All, many of which are created by university students around the world, are clustered in categories aimed at different age groups (ages eight and older, 10 and older, and teens). In addition, the films will be programmed with the show’s “connecting great game companies with gamers, and gamers with great games” theme in mind. The animation workshops are geared for game and film enthusiasts of all ages and will involve skill-building activities such as character drawing and other animation skills.
“These are creative and imaginative short films and animation that we’re confident E for All attendees will appreciate,” said Dan Bennett, Director of the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival. “The films show tremendous talent, skill and storytelling, and will delight and impress the E for All crowd. It’s exciting stuff. We encourage people of all ages to stop by the theater and spend some time with these quality films. E for All is the perfect venue for this festival.”
“By hosting the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival at E for All, we are providing show attendees with access to an even broader range of creative entertainment,” said Mary Dolaher, Chief Executive Officer of IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows and events and owner for E for All. “Both the screenings and the animation workshops will be a great added activity for families, film enthusiasts and gamers of all types and ages attending E for All 2008.”
The festival arrives at E for All Expo following its opening weekend September 20-21, 2008 at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, and it concludes October 12, 2008 at Kidspace Children’s Museum in Pasadena.
