A Star is Born
FILM stardom awaits Coventry woman Paula Butler after she was picked to appear in Nativity.
Paula is a managing partner’s associate at Yorkshire Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre at the Ricoh Arena and their boardroom was turned into a Hollywood mogul’s Los Angeles office for the film.
Paula was asked to step in front of the film cameras when she went along to see the movie crew in action at Bablake School.
She says: “I’d gone along with two colleagues just to check that everything would be OK when filming started at Yorkshire Bank.
“But while we were there, a producer asked if any of us would be able to play the part of a school secretary – both my colleagues pointed at me.
“It’s not something I could say I’d always dreamed of – I used to dance and took part in amateur dramatics but never really thought about being in a film.
“It was great fun though. I just had to play the part of a school secretary and introduced a new child into the school – so I did get to say a few words too.
“You never know if it will make the cut – but it would be great to appear in the movie. It’s very exciting.”
