Meez Nation Builds A Mansion For AEG Live Touring Artists Panic At The Disco, Dashboard Confessional, Plain White T’s and The Cab
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Meez(TM) (http://www.meez.com/), a leading social entertainment community, today announced it is working with AEG Live (http://www.aeglive.com/), the nation's second largest concert promotion and touring company, to build a mansion in mainstream virtual world Meez Nation for AEG Live touring artists Panic At The Disco, Dashboard Confessional, Plain White T's and The Cab, with more to be added shortly.
The AEG Live Mansion in Meez Nation features a customized hangout for each artist where fans will be able to dress up in official artist merchandise, take the stage and rock out with guitars, drums and microphones. -- Panic At The Disco Studio -- Dashboard Confessional Room -- Plain White T's Studio -- The Cab Studio -- The AEG Live Tour Hangout
"Touring is about connecting with fans through music and creating a shared experience. With Meez we are able to bring that online," said Glenn Michael Miller, Director of Interactive Marketing at AEG Live. "We have created the AEG Live Mansion as a place for fans to become more involved with our artists, share their excitement for the tour and buy a ticket to come out and see them live. This is where music is headed and we are glad to be a part of it."
"Meez Nation's users are big music fans, so giving them the ability to rock out together, listen to new music and just hang out in the band's branded rooms is just incredible," said Sean Ryan, CEO of Meez. "Meez Nation is seeing tons of traction since launch, with users staying for an average of 52 minutes per visit, and we anticipate fans will spend days hanging out in the AEG Live Tour Mansion. We will add more bands to this mansion as our AEG relationship expands."
Meez Nation is designed to let everyday users easily connect with others and share experiences. Residents can chat with one another, watch YouTube videos together, listen to music and leave answering machines messages. By typing various text triggers such as "LOL,""OMG" or "dance," Meez users can launch animations to amuse others in Roomz. There are also numerous interactive objects spread around Meez Nation to inject fun into the scene, including walls that can be tagged with graffiti and a Tesla coil that zaps users.
