Afghan TV Broadcasts More Iranian Serials During Ramadan
Text of report by state-run Iranian radio external service from Mashhad on 18 September
With the arrival of Ramadan, Afghan TV networks are broadcasting seven Iranian serials. According to Iranian radio and TV, "She was an angel", "Joseph, the messenger" and "The forbidden fruit" and among the Iranian serials that are being broadcast by Afghan TV networks, among them, Rah-e Farda, Tolo TV, Shamshad TV, Tamadon TV and Lemar TV.
Taking into account the religious atmosphere in the holy month of Ramadan, Afghan TV networks have turned to broadcasting more Iranian films and religious programmes. Iranian serials and films do not need any translation, dubbing, or even reviewing by the Afghan TV networks' officials. Last year, too, during the holy month of Ramadan, eight Iranian TV serials were broadcast by the Afghan TV networks and were welcomed by the people of the country.
