City’s Star Billing Set to Lure More Crews

September 22, 2008

BOSSES at CV One, the destination management and promotions agency for Coventry, say Debbie Isitt’s film will be a big boost for the city.

Nativity has been made in Coventry and Warwickshire and stars comedian Alan Carr.

Scenes of the film have been shot in Coundon, Stoke, Spon Street, Kenilworth, as well as the city’s cathedral ruins.

Peter Walters (pictured), CV One head of economic development, said the movie could help raise the city’s profile.

He said: “We are very excited about this, because Nativity could be the film that could really put Coventry on the map.

“We have been working behind the scenes to make sure it all runs smoothly for the production company and the fact that Debbie Isitt is local really helps.

“Debbie is a very talented up-and-coming film writer.

“We hope the film gives the city a big wow and would welcome more film companies to come to Coventry.”

Bafta award winning director Debbie says Nativity is an improvised comedy about two rival teachers who battle each year to achieve a five-star review for their nativity play.
