Ken and Kay Back Hospice

A RENOWNED filmmaker and a TV newsreader have become patrons of Nuneaton's Mary Ann Evans Hospice.

The Nuneaton-born film director Ken Loach has joined the board of patrons, along with BBC newsreader Kay Alexander, who lives in north Warwickshire.

They join Viscount Daventry and Sir William Dugdale.

Canon Edward Pogmore, the hospice's chairman, said: "We are absolutely delighted."
