Youngsters’ Work Will Hit the Big Screen
Youngsters from schools, colleges and youth groups across the Westcountry have been given the opportunity to have movies shown at a national festival.
The two-day event, organised by the Co-operative Group, will run clips of about six minutes from 100 youngsters who had their productions picked from 250 applicants.
The festival, covering a wide range of genres from drama and documentaries to animation, comedy and music, is being held at the National Media Museum in Bradford.
Among the films to be shown are How to Get a Girl in Five Days, by students from King Edward VI College in Totnes.
The festival will also include workshops, providing the youngsters with a chance to try their hands at screen-writing, acting, Bollywood dancing and creating a movie soundtrack.
The festival will be held on October 9-10.
