Centerville Students to Stage ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown’

CENTERVILLE — Thirty years after Centerville High School students first performed the musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” the school again intends to delight audiences with the antics of Charles Schultz’s “Peanuts” characters, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy, Sally and Schroeder.
The cast has been rehearsing since the end of August under the direction of Joe Beumer, who teaches theater arts classes at the school, said Jan Kledzik, CHS math teacher and costumer for the show.
The cast and production crew includes: Ian Benjamin, David Budde, Bryan Burckle, Alex Dereix, Jarod Garel, Kyle Hansen, Rebecca Hoffman, Emily Kennard, Kellen Loyle, Rachel Meyer, Rachel Robinson, Robbie Sellers and Wes Yount, she said.
The show is to be performed in the Central Unit Theatre at the high school, 500 E. Franklin St. Patrons should come in the central entrance of the school.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, and Saturday, Sept. 27, as well as Oct. 3 and 4. There’s also a matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. On Friday and Oct. 3 there will be a “talk back” with the cast after the show.
Tickets will be available at the door and online at www.cen terville.k12.oh.us.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults, and $8 for students and seniors.
