AMD Chips in Towards Wildlife Conservation

By Lim Yeh Ern

AMD recently made a donation to Zoo Negara during the launch of its latest notebook platform, codenamed Puma.

AMD claims that the Puma delivers the ultimate in high- definition visual performance and increased energy efficiency for the mobile platform.

The company also hosted a fun-filled visit to the zoo for 32 children of Rumah Shalom in hopes of cultivating a deeper love for the environment by giving them a chance to see endangered wildlife such as the puma, and learn to appreciate what Mother Nature has to offer.

The children were treated to a zoo tour followed by a multi- animal show, which served as an educational platform on the different wildlife presented.

AMD contributed a matching sum to the amount that has been collected to the zoo for its overall upkeep and conservation works. The company also gave a new notebook to the zoo in aid of their efforts.
