Have You Got What It Takes to Win Wow Factor?

A Lincolnshire talent show has been given a re-vamp to include undiscovered acts such as jugglers, magicians and comediennes.

The Theatre Royal in Lincoln has opened up this year's Echo- backed Wow Factor competition to include any act the public can throw at it.

The previous shows have focused on finding the county's undiscovered singing sensations but this year organisers have decided to take on the same mantle as Britain's Got Talent.

The national ITV competition launched the career of phone salesman-turned-opera singer Paul Potts and street dancing teen George Sampson.

And Wow Factor organiser Chris Moreno, from the theatre, says that Lincolnshire has enough talent to host the show.

"We're looking for as wide a range as possible in this year's show, and we really think it will be a great success," he said.

The act crowned cream of the crop will scoop a pounds2,000 top prize.

After applications have been handed in, hopefuls will have to audition in front of a judging panel on Tuesday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 15.

Competitors who make it through to the heats will tread the boards on Saturday, October 18.

The grand final of the Echo backed competition will be staged live on Sunday, October 26.

Application forms are available from the Theatre Royal Box Office, Lincolnshire Echo reception and

Deadline for applying to take part in the show is Thursday.
