Robin in Royal Return

COMEDY legend Robin Williams is returning to the UK stage after 25 years for a charity gala to celebrate Prince Charles's 60th birthday.

The televised show, We Are Most Amused, will also feature rare live appearances from John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson.

Charles and wife Camilla will beguests of honour at the event at London's New Wimbledon Theatre on November 12, two days before his birthday.

It is expected to raise tens of thousands of pounds for his youth charity the Prince's Trust.

Williams, 57, is to perform a new stand-up routine devised for the evening.

Special Atkinson, 53, last went on a live stand-up tour in 1991 and Cleese, 68, has promised something "extra special" for the event.

More acts will be announced in the run-up to the night, which will be broadcast on ITV1 and feature comedy sketches as well as stand-up.

The broadcasting company said: "It will bring together the very best in comedy talent - from much-loved established names to fresh young acts - a combination which will appeal to all ages and, above all, to comedy fan and guest of honour the Prince ofWales."

Clarence House have also confirmed that the prince will celebrate his 60th birthday withtwo parties.

The Queen will host an event at Buckingham Palace and there will be a private celebration at his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.
