Do You Have Any Whitfield Tunes?

October 1, 2008

I’m Diane, aged 34, single and proud of Stoke-on-Trent.

It’s a very big city and a few of its most famous potteries are still producing the finest tea sets, from the best porcelain. Stoke is beautiful.

There’s going to be a show on at the Victoria Hall, where there will be some rare footage of my favourite singer, the late operatic tenor David Whitfield.

The show is to be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. I’m urgently looking for any of his CDs, cassettes, LPs and 45 singles, the earlier the better, in mint condition for donation, but no 78s please. Any autographed photos and records of David are most welcome. I especially need Cara Mia/Love, Tears And Kisses, only on a Decca 45-single, ‘Hey There It’s David Whitfield’ on a vinyl LP and the 1966 LP ‘Great Songs for Young Lovers’ on Decca. I can be contacted at 18 Downside Crescent, Bradford, BD15 7LE.
