Auditions for Panto Children

The search is on to find children to perform with the stars in Plymouth this Christmas.

Twenty talented 'babes' will get to share the stage with Lesley Joseph and Matt Slack in Cinderella at the Theatre Royal.

Auditions for the coveted parts will take place at TR2, the Theatre Royal's production and education centre in Cattedown, Plymouth on Sunday, October 5.

The boys and girls must be aged seven to 12 and be no taller than 4ft 6in with competent skills in modern dance.

They also need to be available through the whole of December and January.

The children must be accompanied at the audition by a parent or guardian. Registration is between 2pm and 2.30pm and the hopefuls must be prepared to stay for the rest of the day at TR2. They should bring food and drink with them.

The chosen 20 will make two teams to share performances of the panto.

Cinderella stars Joseph as the Fairy Godmother, Slack as Buttons and Laura Evans as Cinders and runs at the Theatre Royal from December 19 to 24 January 24 (box office: 01752 267222 or visit the website at www.theatreroyal.com).
