Choral Concert Set Oct. 12 at DSU
Dakota Stage Ltd. opens its 30th season with “Nunsense,” written by Dan Goggin and directed by Deb Carpenter.
“Nunsense” was voted as the “People’s Choice” by audiences at Dakota Stage last season. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16-18 and Oct. 22-25 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 19 and 26.
The show is about a fundraiser put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidentally poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia.
Tickets for the musical are $23 for adults and $20 for seniors and students. Obtain tickets online at www.dakotastageltd.com, in the box office from noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and two hours before show times.

Sauerkraut Day will be held Wednesday at the Wishek Civic Center.
Sauerkraut Day celebrates the German heritage by featuring one of their favorite foods. The day includes a free sauerkraut and hot dog meal served by Wishek business owners, and an afternoon of musical entertainment performed by both local and regional entertainment.

The Dickinson State University Department of Music will present a fall choral concert at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in Dorothy Stickney Auditorium.
The concert, directed by Director of Choral Activities Bruce Southard, will include a variety of musical selections and styles. Performers include Chorale, Chamber Singers, and daCoda Blue vocal pop ensemble. The free concert is open to the public.
