Laura in Horse of the Year Show Debut

A WARWICKSHIRE woman is hoping to rein in a trophy or two after qualifying for one of the world's most prestigious horse shows.

Laura Stewart is champing at the bit to do well in her first appearance at the Horse of the Year Show at the NEC today.

The 28-year-old will compete in front of tens of thousands of equestrian enthusiasts, as well as Sky TV cameras and royalty.

To roar her on in the heats of the mountain and moorland ridden class, the Warwickshire College employee will be taking at least 20 family members, friends and students along with her. Though she admitted to some nerves, she expressed relief that herride, the Welsh section D cob Penchwintan Cadfridog (The General), recovered from a recent leg infection.
