Acoustic Duo Join Forces for an Evening of Fabulous Folk
Johnny Coppin who is appearing at The Mission Theatre tomorrow evening, from 8pm, is well known as a folk singer, songwriter, guitarist and keyboard player.
He made a name for himself as a member of Decameron, one of the most successful folk rock bands of the 1970s.
Since then he has become established as a solo performer and composer.
He not only has the ability to write memorable songs as well as composing great tunes but has set the works of many of Gloucestershire’s poets to music including Laurie Lee with whom he collaborated on an anthology of work.
Johnny will be performing alongside Paul Burgess a talented, Gloucestershire-based, fiddle player who is much sought after on the folk circuit and is a member of The Old Swan Band.
