Funhouse Dance at DeMeester
Funhouse Movement Theater returns to Reid Park’s DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center with an arsenal of taiko drummers tonight through Sunday.
Odaiko Sonora, Tucson’s premier Japanese drum ensemble, will provide the rhythm for “Stick Together,” a piece created by Lee Anne Hartley as part of Funhouse’s free seasonal production, “Dance in the Park.”
The remainder of the evening will include past works by Hartley and other dances like “Skyskraper,” a 9/11-inspired piece created by Zuzi Dance associate director Beth Braun and set to original score work by Michael Vercelli.
The performance begins at 7:30 on all three nights. 749-1221.
